1. Place onions, mutton, cinnamon, black cardamoms, bay leaves, green chillies, ½ tsp turmeric powder, salt and 1 cup water in a pressure cooker. Cover and cook under pressure for 25-30 minutes or till 7-8 whistles.
2. Heat mustard oil in anon-stick kadai, add garlic paste, ginger paste and tomato puree and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp garam masala powder and sauté till oil separates.
3. Add potatoes and mix. Transfer mutton from pressure cooker into the kadai and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add water as required and cook till the potatoes are done.
4. Adjust salt, add remaining garam masala powder and mix. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
