Preheat oven to 180°C. Mix butter and sugar in a bowl. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
Pour ¾ cup milk into a bowl, mix in coffee powder and heat in microwave for 1 minute. Add 1 tbsp chocolate chips and mix well.
Sift together refined flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda into the butter-sugar mixture and fold in lightly. Add yogurt and mix again. Add milk mixture and mix well. Add walnuts and mix again.
Pour batter into a silicon mould, tap to level the surface, sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top.
Prick all over the top with a fork. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. Cut into slices and serve.
